M. G. Hoeveler, Ltd. was established in 2008. In addition to advisory services, we provide collection management, design, and administrative support to art collectors and institutions.
Ms. Hoeveler founded her art advisory service to assist collectors and institutions internationally with buying, selling, and commissioning works of art. She and her team provide curatorial direction; market advice on purchases and sales; collection management; and develop and oversee private commissions. Previously, she was Managing Director and Contemporary art advisor and appraiser at the Citigroup Private Bank Art Advisory Service, where she led a team of specialists, registrars, research associates, and lending advisors in building, financing, and maintaining private art collections. Prior to that, Ms. Hoeveler spent a decade at Christie’s auction house, completing her tenure as an SVP in management. Before joining Christie’s, she spent seven years producing site-specific public art installations with leading Contemporary artists. She holds a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Edinburgh, and a B.A. in Art History and English Literature from Wellesley College. Ms. Hoeveler is a member of the Association of Professional Art Advisors (APAA).
